There are two experiences in my life that have shaped who I am and how I approach engineering. The first is my work in my family's worldwide zip line business (ziprider.com), and the second is guiding 5-day rafting trips for Action Whitewater Adventures on the Main Salmon River. Both have served as unconventional classrooms, and have taught me to solve problems in real time, adapt to unpredictable conditions, and the importance of teamwork. Thank you for taking a few minutes to watch how these experiences have influenced the way I think, lead, and ultimately inspired my path toward engineering. See video below.

This video briefly shows my process of designing, building, and testing a wireless robotic cable crawler that pulls an MRT device along a zip line cable for inspection purposes.
A highlight reel from my 2025 summer guiding on the Main Salmon River in Idaho.

I’ve competed in football, golf, and wrestling throughout high school, but my heart is in track and field- specifically the high jump.
I qualified for state three years in a row, placed 3rd as a sophomore
and junior, and closed last season with a personal best of 6'3".
I am dedicating my senior year to mastering the high jump. My first goal is to clear 6'6" and break my high school's 6'5" record, then I’m pushing for 6'8", with my sights ultimately set on 7'0".

I started skiing when I was 2 years old, and have spent almost every winter weekend on the mountain since. Although I was never drawn to competitive racing, charging hard lines in the mountains remains one of my greatest passions.
